On Thursday, April 30, 2026, the University Rector participated in the events commemorating International Workers' Day, which falls on May 1st of each year. The Skikda Province had prepared a rich program for the occasion, under the supervision of the Governor of Skikda, Mr. Said Akhrouf.
- At the Martyrs' Cemetery in Ramdane Djamel, the national flag was raised, the national anthem was played, and a moment of silence was observed in remembrance of the martyrs, honoring their pure souls and upholding the principles of the War of Liberation.
- At the Malek Chebel Cultural Palace, employees from various sectors were honored, including university staff.
